The Grown Ups Chair: Sloane & Sons Review

We’ve lived where we are for almost two years now. We moved in with our existing furniture from our previous house and whilst that suited where we used to live, it never really fit with our cottage style living room. Our sofas were a dark brown leather and it made the room feel so dark. With a large inglenook fireplace and wooden floors, our living room needed brightening up!

Luckily we were able to give the room a bit of a make-over recently, thanks to the January sales! We¬†picked up a new sofa and arm chair for a bargain price and I also bought a huge Malta style rug. It’s light blue with an exotic old world type feel, which is much more cosy and brings the room together more.

Then last month, I was sent a Fabric Tub Chair from Sloane & Sons and it was really great timing! It’s duck egg blue so matches perfectly with my new rug and with it’s traditional design fits great in our cottage sitting room.

It’s definitely a statement chair, very vibrant and as such I’ve ordained it ‘The Grown Ups Chair’. It’s an adult only zone, no kids jumping or eating Pom-Bears near this bad boy! Aside from the fact that I want to sit in it because it is so deep and comfy. I also don’t want the fabric getting ruined, it’s upholstery is high quality.

The chair has a high back for support and a deep barrel style seat. The arms are rounded and padded for extra comfort. After receiving the chair I went out and bought a huge woolen thrown so I could snuggle down and watch Call The Midwife. Ahhh heaven!

  3. That chair looks gorgeous. I love the colour. We have sofas of similar colour and they have been destroyed by the kids… no way would I let them near that armchair! #bloggerclubuk
